Hi, Sheltie lovers, and anyone thinking about getting a sheltie. Let me tell you a little bit about how I got started with this breed. Back in the spring of 1985 I was looking for a puppy to add to my life. I thought I wanted a terrier, they were so cute as a puppy. I called the local dog club and was given a name and number of a local breeder.  I called and talked to the breeder and she told me to go to a Dog Show that just happen to be going on that weekend, and talk to the breeders about a puppy. Having never been to a show before I didn't know what to expect or see. When I got there I walked around, still looking for a terrier breeder. After talking to some breeders they gave me direction on how to get to the grooming area, when I walked through the grooming area something caught my eye, it was like my feet were glued to the floor and my body was frozen in place. There standing on a table in front of me being groomed to get ready for the ring was a "SHELTIE"  Need I say more! It was love at first site, and the rest is history. Yes they do bark more then some other breeds but I call it "talking" and yes they do shed more but cats are worse. But I don't care because it is the breed for me. They are very personable and intelligent and learn things very quickly. If you think that this is the breed for you, then come join me. I do sometimes have puppies and adults available, for people that are looking to add a 4-legged member to their home, and will treat them like a family member. You will not be expected to show them, just to love and take care of them.

I do still show my dogs but now on a very limited basis due to health reasons. It was fun while it lasted. "Search" was my first, then came his son "Quest", and then there is "PALMER" my first Am/Champion.

This web site is dedicated to "PARKAE'S STAR SEARCHER" (9-30-90 to 2-2-05)  I owe my start in the show ring to him. "Search", pictured above at 12 1/2 yrs old, had 9 pts toward his championship title when retired. Search's mother "Parkae's Betten On Faye" came from and named in honor of a very dear friend Betty Fahey (Exeter Hills). Betty was my mentor and I thank her very much for all the help she had given me when I was first starting out. "Search" is my foundation dog and his blood is in almost all of my present dogs. Eyes tested normal and Hips Excellent.

I moved to this small town located 18 miles north of Appleton in the summer of 1994. The house needed tons of   work both inside and out. But it was a perfect setup for my dogs. Set on a 1/2 acre so I could completely fence in my back yard with chain link fencing giving the dogs lots of room to run and play outside or come in the house to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter. All my dogs and puppies eat, sleep, and live in the house with me.
